Coming to the Archive:

Cover: On the Mysteries of Ancient and Modern Times

Between now and the end of September, the Rudolf Steiner Archive will be presenting Rudolf Steiner lectures and lecture courses not published since the 1930's or 1940's! And then, only in serial form in Anthroposophical News Sheets and Journals. Some of the titles are:

  • On the Mysteries of Ancient and Modern Times
  • Historical Necessity and Freewill
  • The Basle course on the Gospel of St. John
  • Theosophy and Rosicrucianism

So here is a sneak preview of the first of these new offerings, “On the Mysteries of Ancient and Modern Times.“ It will be live at the Archive on August 15th 2010, consisting of the 3rd, 4th and 5th of 16 lectures given by Rudolf Steiner at Dornach in the Winter of 1917 and 1918. The three lectures in this series are part of the lecture series entitled Mystery Truths and the Christmas Impulse. Published in German as Mysterienwahrheiten und Weihnachtsimpulse. Alle Mythen und ihre Bedeutung. Geistige Wesen und ihre Wirkungen. Band IV. Lecture 2 is also know as The 33 Year Rhythmical Cycle and lecture 3 as Realities Beyond Birth and Death. They were first presented in the Goetheanum Weekly, Vol. VII., Nos. 2–4. Click on the Cover (at right), and be taken to the Archive pages so you can get acquainted with this excellent set of lectures.

We invite you to become a part of this and show our 17,000+ daily visitors that you support the Rudolf Steiner Archive. The e.Librarian has said, “Accumulating information is the first step toward knowledge, sharing information is the first step toward community.” To this end, our initiatives are devoted to creating and enhancing an online Library with an Anthroposophical emphasis, striving to provide what is of interest to the community: a ‘community’ encompassing the entire world.
