We still need your help!
The Mission of The e.Lib, Inc. is to make literary and other intellectual
works available to the people of the world. Offerings include the Rudolf
Steiner Archive, Fine Art Presentations, KnowNews dot Net, two Goethean
sites, and the e.Lib itself. It is increasingly important to make these
intellectual treasures available to all.
Our efforts are strengthened by your contributions, whether one-time
donations, or ongoing financial support as sustaining members. Not only are
we very grateful, but the Anthroposophical community and all who seek to
expand their knowledge and understanding thank you.
Your willingness to pledge continuing support for this Initiative will also
help in our efforts to obtain grant funding — those evaluating grant
proposals look for sustainability and a broad support base.
We have had to examine our financial situation, as we have also exhausted
our personal reserves through the past year. We will not deviate
from our intention to provide the resources at our websites free of charge.
We have, however, been forced to recognize the necessity
for spending a significant amount of time seeking grants and additional
funding, while doing our best to minimize the impact on our progress in
adding to the materials available online. If you know of any foundations
or organizations that might be interested in supporting our work, please
send the contact information to the
Funding and Grants Coordinator.
In considering our appeal, it may help to know that this website is part
of The e.Lib, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation
operating under State of Michigan and US Federal regulations. This means
that your donations are tax-deductible, and we are not taxed on these funds.
We are permitted to conduct some for-profit, taxable business, which also
helps support this initiative. Please review the web-hosting and other
related internet services we offer
Our initiative includes:
- Maintaining and expanding our presence on the internet:
- Digitization of materials and presentation on the internet (click here to learn more about this process)
- Archival preservation of deteriorating materials
- Providing website hosting and related services
- Locating and applying for grants and other sources of funding
Of the more than 6000 visitors we have every day, approximately 3% have
helped by making contributions. Won't you consider how much value you get
from the information presented at our websites and join these
folks in helping this initiative? As our electronic/online library grows,
so does the opportunity for you and people like you to find the information
you seek. With your help we can strengthen all of our resources and
consequently, our presentation to the world.
We are grateful for the opportunity to do our small part in making
knowledge available. Thank you all for helping us.
